Social Concern

To serve without expectations is the greatest good that we can do to the society. To make a difference in someone's life is the most challenging task at the same time fulfilling and inspiring.

The purpose of the social concern team is to inculcate the spirit of service and compassion among our students. The team helps the students to reach to the marginalized and also spread awareness about the social evils that is predominantly found in the younger generation today. Students are empowered to distinguish between the right and the wrong and respect their individuality by caring for themselves and the others.

Students hailing from an economically challenged background are provided with a sumptuous and nutritious lunch through the mid-day meal scheme. Students, who wish to make use of these facilities, have to submit a written application, addressed to the principal along with authentic income certificate as and when intimated by the class teachers. The application must be duly signed by the parent/guardian.

“The earth is a fine place and worth fighting for” – Ernest Heming Way

The environment is where we all meet, where all of us have a mutual interest, it is the one thing all of us share .But we are living on this planet as if we had another one to go to.

Tremendous damage has been done to mother earth by humans, by overexploitation of natural resources, urbanization and misuse of technology. There is an immediate need to protect our planet.

At St.Joseph PU College, we aim to create awareness about the importance of environment protection. The students are provided with opportunities and taught about their moral responsibility to care for our common home and reduce the impact of our activities on the environment.
