    The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated with a patriotic passion and marvelous ethnicity. The general secretary Ramanan and the vice president of the students' council Vishal Reddy welcomed the gathering. The chief guest of the celebration Lt. Col. Shakti Singh Rathode unfurled the tricolor. The Director of St. Joseph's law college Rev. Fr. Swebert D'Silva SJ, Campus minister Rev. Fr. Wilson Bennis , Vice Principal Renuka Zechariah and the cultural coordinator Mr. PV. Sudarshan shared the dais with the chief guest. The cultural coordinator Mr. PV. Sudarshan introduced the chief guest to the audience. The colonel made the people recall all the sacrifices which paved the path for India's freedom. He told everybody to walk together in all aspects to reach a milestone. He spoke of the youth power in India, which had the potential to change the shape of the world's economy. He welcomed the aspiring cadets to join the forces and experience the life of a soldier.
