A nations culture resides in the hearts and the soul of its people The 72nd Republic Day celebration was another unforgettable day added to the annals of St. Joseph’s Pre- University College. The event was attended by NCC cadets, members of the Student Council, and Staff. The Chief Guest for the programme, Head of the Department of Humanities, Dr. Christopher Hoskins, and the Principal, Rev. Fr Melvin Lobo SJ were escorted by the Student Council to the Quadrangle. The tricolour was hoisted and the gathering sang the national anthem. The host of the programme, P. Unnikrishnan rendered a speech on the significance of the occasion, after which the Chief Guest delivered his address. The programme ended with a photo session and the distribution of sweets.
