    The six days Faculty development programme was organized by St. Joseph Pre-University College to other BJES institutions. It was successfully conducted in St. Joseph Institute of Management from 5 July to 10 July 2021. The FDP programme received an overwhelming response with overall 40 participants from various colleges in Karnataka. Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vaz SJ, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ, Rev. Fr. Dr. Manoj D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Roshan David Pereira and Mr. C. R Rajendra graced the occasion. Opening remarks for the FDP were given by Fr. Dionysius Vaz who spoke on the significance of knowledge which was followed by Fr. Brian Pereira’s thoughts on FDP. Thereafter, Fr. Roshan David Pereira spoke on the agenda of FDP and welcomed all the participants for the programme. The programme progressed with general sessions and subject sessions for the participants to enhance their soft skills and upgrade their subject knowledge. The participants began their day with yoga sessions which were followed by the lectures and group activities from resource persons and the day culminated with motivational videos. The FDP was concluded with a valedictory ceremony in which Fr. Michael John gave his appreciations for the success of the programme and emphasized the importance of learning as a continuous process. The participants from each college were given mementoes and certificates by the Jesuit Fathers for their active participation. On the whole, the FDP received a lot of positive feedback from participants and created an opportunity to enhance their teaching skills.
