CHRISTMAS EVENTS ORGANISED BY AICUF IN COLLABORATION WITH THE STUDENT COUNCIL SJPUC Aicuf, in collaboration with the Student Council, organized Christmas events for the staff and students in December. Students took part in events such as Christmas tree decoration, Crib decoration, Carol singing, Letter to Santa, and so on. E- certificates were awarded to the winners. A formal Christmas celebration was live-streamed on YouTube on 23December 2020. The event began with intercessory prayers followed by a talk by the OBA Secretary, Roger Lurshay, and a Christmas message from the Principal, Rev. Fr. Melvin Lobo SJ. The videos of the winners were also screened. The Department wise competitions for the Staff members were conducted offline and included events like Christmas tree decoration, Cake decoration, Christmas message related to social issues. Priests from Jesuit Nivas including the Rector, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ, and the OBA members graced the occasion. The Staff prayer team invoked God’s blessings on the program through intercessory prayers and symbolic offerings. The Student Council and Staff sang carols to welcome the birth of Christ. Rev. Fr. Michael John SJ, the guest speaker, shared an inspiring message. Prizes were distributed for the winners of the various competitions. The Department of Biology bagged the first prize for a Christmas video with a social message event. The College newsletter was also by the Rector, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira. After the program, the gathering partook in a scrumptious fellowship meal followed by a few fun games. The program brought a sense of joy and celebration, kindling the Christmas cheer.
