A leader is not someone who just leads from the front but one who leaves a legacy to be followed by generations to come. The assumption of leadership roles i.e., the official opening of the Students’ Council of St. Joseph’s Pre-University College was held on 29 September 2021 between 2 to 3:30 pm in the Loyola Hall. The event was presided by our Director Rev. Fr Roshan David Pereira SJ., accompanied by our beloved Principal Mr C R Rajendra and our vibrant Vice Principal Ms Smitha Chacko. The event was invoked with an inter-religious prayer session and a prayer song by the music club. As tradition goes, the audience was welcomed by the Cultural Coordinator Ms Savita and the plan for the year was proposed by the Governor of Students’ Council Ms Maria Thendril. The Council Members and the student representatives were presented with their badges by our Principal and teachers respectively, as a mark of beginning their journey as student leaders. This was followed by the auspicious flag ceremony. The student council activities for the year was then declared open by the Director. This momentous occasion brought together the Students’ Councils of Mount Carmel College, St. Joseph’s Evening PU College and St. Joseph’s Composite college to name a few. The music club graced the occasion with a cultural performance.
